Right winger Jordin Tootoo, 27, signed a two-year, $2.5 million extension with Nashville.

Tootoo will earn $1.15 million next season and $1.35 million in 2011-12.

He has played in 330 NHL games, with 71 points and a franchise-

record 550 penalty minutes.

The 5-foot-9 forward was the 98th pick overall in the 2001 draft and became the first player of Inuit descent to play in the NHL when he made his debut Oct. 9, 2003, against Anaheim.
