We would like to hear your views on the creation of a university in Canada's Arctic. The idea of a university in Canada's North has been discussed since at least the 1960s, yet Canada remains the only circumpolar country without a university in its arctic region. Under the direction of an advisory committee, the Gordon Foundation is convening a dialogue in early November 2010 in Yellowknife with Northerners to identify key shared principles and elements of a vision for a future university in Canada's Arctic, and we need your help! Please complete the following on-line questionnaire to share your views on the creation of a university in Canada's Arctic: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/northern_university by Tuesday, October 19th, 2010. The responses to the questionnaire will be compiled and shared to inform the November dialogue. As well, please circulate widely to your networks, especially current or former students. Any student who completes the survey will be entered into a draw for a $500 donation to the registered Canadian charity of their choosing.
