With a proud commitment to strengthen, preserve and enhance the cultural and social identity of the Inuvialuit people through the use of media, the Inuvialuit Communications Society, located in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, invites applications for the term position of Television Producer.  
 
Under the guidance and direction of the Executive Director, the Television Producer will oversee the creative and technical design and delivery of television programming that focuses on the culture, traditions and way of life of the Inuvialuit people.  
 
Working in collaboration with community members throughout the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, the Television Producer will plan and organize production schedules, conduct
interviews, prepare scripts and narrations, as well as take on all responsibility for filming and post-production editing. 
 
The ideal candidate for this position will have successfully completed post secondary education in the field of Broadcasting and/or Communications and have a minimum of three years related experience working in a cross cultural environment. 
 
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills, strong project and budget management abilities and demonstrated proficiency working with Final Cut Pro and HD video production equipment. A knowledge of and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Inuvialuit Settlement Region would be considered an asset.
