A Pond Inlet, Nunavut, man is calling for changes to Nunavut's medical
travel policy after his wife was not allowed to fly back from their son's
medical appointment because she had also brought her infant daughter
along.

Israel Mablick's wife Donna had flown from Pond Inlet to Iqaluit last week
to accompany their six-year-old son to a medical appointment. She also
brought along her 11-month-old daughter, whom she has been breastfeeding.

But when Donna Mablick tried to board her Canadian North flight back to
Pond Inlet, she was told that a Health and Social Services Department
policy prevents her from travelling with the infant.
