MACKENZIE RIVER, N.W.T. - The work stoppage on the Deh Cho Bridge over the MacKenzie River in the Northwest Territories seems to be over.
Northern media reported earlier this week the work on the $165-million has restarted, ending a work stoppage that began more than two weeks ago over an alleged contract dispute between Atcon Construction, the main contractor for the project, and the Deh Cho Bridge Corporation, which is building the bridge as a public-private partnership.
Neither Atcon, the Deh Cho Bridge Corporation nor the territorial government would comment on the reason for the stoppage.
