Yukon, Nunavut & NWT Topographical Data Base improved

In supporting the Northern Canadian users of topographic data at the scale of 1:250,000, ESS has applied planimetric corrections to existing Topographical Data Base NTDB files covering the 3 territories: Nunavut, Northwest and Yukon Territories for a total of over 621 data sets.

The geometric corrections have improved the overall accuracy of the data sets from 150-200 meters to 60 meters. Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) is planning to complete the 621 data sets for the territories by early summer of 2009.
